Venezuela national team calls up 30 players for the 2011 Copa America

The Venezuelan national team players list, that will dispute the 2011 Copa America in Argentina, was announced. The squad will have now 30 players named by the coach César Farias. But this is only a pre-list.
In Puerto La Cruz, 19 players were training and already played a friendly match against Guatemala, won by 2-0, on June 1st. More 11 names were called up to join the group that plays today against the FIFA World Cup champion Spain, in Puerto La Cruz.

Venezuela will play one more friendly match before the 2011 Copa America. The game will take place in Las Vegas (USA), on June 11, against Mexico. The final list for the 2011 Copa America will only be announced in the end of the month.

The squad selected is:

Goalkeepers: Renny Veja (Caracas), Dani Hernández (Real Murcia, Spain) and Leo Morales (Deportivo Anzoátegui).

Defenders: Gabriel Cichero (Newell’s Old Boys, Argentina), Juan Fuenmayor (Deportivo Anzoátegui), Grenddy Perozo (Boyacá Chicó), José Granados (Real Esppor), Oswaldo Vizcarrondo (Deportivo Anzoátegui), José Manuel Rey (Mineros Guayana), Roberto Rosales (Twente, Netherlands), Alexander González (Caracas) and William Díaz (Zamora).

Midfielders: Giácomo Di Giorgi (Deportivo Anzoátegui), Franklin Lucena (Caracas), Tomás Rincón (Hamburgo, Germany), Edgar Jiménez (Caracas), Francisco Flores (Deportivo Lara), Juan Arango (Borussia Mönchengladbach, Alemanha), Yohandry Orozco (Wolfsburg, Germany), Luis Manuel Seijas (Santa Fe, Colombia), Angelo Peña (Caracas), César González (Gimnasia La Plata, Argentina), Angel Chourio (Real Esppor), Jesús Meza (Lierse SK, Belgium) and Alejandro Guerra (Deportivo Anzoátegui).
