Bolivia goes to Copa América with 25 players


LA PAZ, (AFP) - Bolivia will play in the Copa América Argentina-2011 with maximum force, using 25 of its top players, including five "foreign", reveals the list released on this Thursday (9) by the coach Gustavo Quinteros.
The main novelty is the midfielder Edivaldo Rojas, from Naval, of Portuguese Second Division.
Quinteros´team, which is concentrated in the city of Santa Cruz, mix experienced players like the defender Ronald Raldo (Argentina Colón), with young talents such as the strikers Juan Carlos Arce and Marcelo Martins (Shahktar Ukraine).
Bolívia will play their first match of the Copa América-2011 against hosts Argentina in Group A which also includes Colombia and Costa Rica.
The called-up list is:
Goalkeepers: Carlos Arias, Sergio Galarza and Daniel Vaca.
Defenders: Edemir Rodríguez, Ronald Raldes, Ronald Rivero, Lorgio Alvarez, Luis Gutiérrez, Miguel Hoyos and Santos Amador.
Midfielders: Ronald García, Walter Flores, Jaime Robles, Alejandro Gómez, Ruddy Cardozo, Jhasmany Campos, Joselito Vaca, Edivaldo Rojas (photo), Christian Vargas and José Luis Chávez.
Fowards: Ricardo Pedriel, Alcides Peña, Marcelo Martins, Mauricio Saucedo and Juan Carlos Arce.
