Mano Menezes: the priority of Brazil’s team is the 2014 Mundial Championship, and not the immediate results.

São Paulo, February 11th 2011 (AFP) – The Brazilian coach team, Mano Menezes, confirmed his priority to prepare a good team to the 2014 World Championship, even if it dangerous to the achievement of the American Cup 2011, in an interview published on this Friday in the newspaper  O Estado de S. Paulo.

“The priority is prepare the Brazilian team. Of Course that are steps that stand out on the preparation,  and the American Cup is certainly one of these steps. But we have to be smart enough to pass through the temptation of immediate result”, said the coach in a interview in Paris.

The plan is to advance the construction of a new selection and this is what we will do in 2011. (…) We have to avoid putting the immediate results over the larger goals”, said Mano Menezes.

The Brazilian Press was shown disappointed  after Brazil lost to France by 1x0 in a friendly on a Wednesday. It is the second defeat  against a traditional team under the command of Mano Menezes.

Brazil will host the next World Cup in 2014, failed in the search for the sixth world title in South Africa in 2010 to be eliminated on the quarter-finals.
