Vélez Sarsfield, Universidad de Chile and Nacional are the champions in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay

Last Sunday, Vélez Sarsfield has got the first place of the  the Torneo Clausura after winning Huracán by 2-0 and scoring an unreachable four point’s advantage. With this victory, Vélez gets to 36 points, and there is only one round left, so the club cannot be reached by Lanús. Thus, Vélez reaches its eighth title, and the first conquest since winning the Clausura 2009.
Universidad de Chile would be the champion of the Apertura 2011 after defeating Universidad Católica in Santiago by 4-1, on Sunday, in a tied match that resulted in three red cards. With the title, Universidad de Chile reached its 14th trophy and assured the first Chilean spot to Copa Libertadores 2012. The Club was last awarded in 2009.
Nacional was proclaimed champion of the Uruguayan National League 2010-11 after defeating  Defensor Sporting  by 1-0 last Sunday, assuring, this way, its spot to the 2012 Copa Libertadores 2012 and Copa Sudamericana 2011. The players of the team were dressed in a t-shirt with a photo of Diego Rodríguez, a player who died in September, at the age of 22, after a car accident in Montevideo.
