Uruguay will play against Holland with a team similar to the one that played against Germany

MONTEVIDEO, June 6th 2011 (AFP) – The Uruguayan football team will play on Wednesday against Holland with a similar team to the one that played on May 29th against Germany, when the  “celeste” team lost by 2-1, said  coach Oscar Tabárez, on Monday.

Uruguay, which is in full preparation for the Copa America, will play Holland in the Centenary Montevideo’s Stadium, on Wednesday. Holland defeated Uruguay by 3-2 in the semifinals of World Cup in 2010.

“We want to play a game like the one against Germany from a conceptual point of view”, said Tabárez at the press conference, in the interval of training. “We’ll see how it unfolds, because we cannot predict anything”.

“We are missing some players who were in the World Cup, like Sneijder and Van Bommel, but we saw against Brazil on Saturday (the game ended 0-0) that these absences can be  replaced by young players with as much quality and with a good future”, he added.

I believe that “the great attraction of the game” is Holland, because it is not very common to have a team with a history like Holland has at the moment and to have them play here is not easy”.

Tabárez dismissed that the game will be a rematch of what happened in the World Cup, “because the conditions and what happens around the World Cup are impossible to reproduce, and this is something else”.

“It’s a FIFA game date which puts us against one of the best teams in the World”, said Tabárez.

On the other hands, forward Luís Suárez, former player from Ajax of Holland who today plays in Liverpool, England, recognized that he was “with a thorn in my side” for not having played against Holland in the World Cup, and that for Wednesday he has a great expectation of making a good start.

“I have a great expectation. I had a thorn in my side for not having played against Holland in the World Cup”, recognized Suárez, who also confirmed that there will be a rematch
