Already with the 23 chosen players, Colombia trained this Friday for the 2011 Copa America

  • June 17, 2011 – Breiner Castillo joined the players of the Colombian national team, in Bogota, and immediately began the training sessions, adding for a total of 23 players. The group is complete to prepare for the 2011 Copa America.
During this Friday, the national team worked about two hours in the La Equidad fields, a session that started with a physical activity conducted by Elkin Sánchez, and later the training returned to regular practice with the coach Hernán Darío Gómez and his assistant Leonel Álvarez.
“Colombia works united, full of talent in each player and thinks about the goals to come, but first we want to consolidate a strategy for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, that is the most important plan. We all think about the World Cup, from the President Santos to every single member of the squad, but no doubt we are going to play the Copa America with responsibility, trying the goals we want”, said the Colombian coach.
Colombia will practice Saturday morning, once again in the La Equidad sports academy, same way the team has been doing in Bogotá.
