Peru tries to confirm his good round against Czech Republic

MATSUMOTO, June 2, 2011 (AFP) - The Peruvian national team, which on Wednesday drew 0-0 with Japan after a great match in which the South Americans were superiors, will attempt to confirm the good phase this Saturday ( 6AM GMT) in a new fiendly in the Nipponese lands against the Czech Republic.
The match will be the second duel of the Kirin Cup, a friendly competition in which the Peru were champions twice, splitting the title with Belgium in 1999 and with  the UAE in 2005. For the South American team will be the last meeting, while the Czechs still face the Japaneses in the next Tuesday.
The Uruguayan coach of Peru, Sergio Markarian, seemed to find a good formula in the first match played in Niigata, where his players deserved the victory, enjoy the best opportunities and failed only in the execution due to many shots off target, and even missing luck.

During this "Markarian era," the Peruvian team was able to won matches against Panama (1-0), Costa Rica (2-0), Jamaica (2-1) and Canada (2-0), with three draws with Ecuador (0-0), Columbia (1-1) and Japan (0-0) and one defeat, for Panama (1-0).
