SAN JOSE, June 19, 2011 (AFP) – After failing in the Gold Cup, which is played in the USA, the Costa Rica national team is ready to travel to Argentina to play the Copa America, where the coach Ricardo La Volpe hopes to show a better campaign.
The Costa Rica Football Federation informed that the travel to Argentina will be on June 28.
Costa Rica got eliminated of the Gold Cup this Saturday after losing to Honduras. The match ended tied by 1-1 in the regular time, but Honduras won by 4-2 in the penalty shoot-out.
The team is in the Copa America’s Group A, with Argentina, Colombia and Bolivia. This will be the fourth participation of Costa Rica in the Copa America.
