Asuncion, June 8, 2011 (AFP) – The national teams of Paraguay and Bolivia draw by 0-0 in a friendly match that was used for preparation for the 2011 Copa America in Argentina. The match took place this Tuesday, in the Feliciano Cáceres de Luque stadium, with 15.000 presents.
At the end (85’), Roberto ‘Toro’ Acuña, 39-year-old midfielder, entered in the match. Acuña played three FIFA World Cups for the Paraguayan national team, in 1998, France, 2002, Korea-Japan, and 2006, in Germany. Acuña played his number 100 match for the ‘guarani’ team and retired officially his career yesterday.
Bolivia, that was the visitant, disarmed the Paraguayan offensive power with an aggressive marking style, which in parts of the match, especially in the second half, demonstrated some danger to the Paraguay’s goal. Nevertheless, even with good chances, the score ended 0-0
