Nacional win the Uruguayan Clausura one round before the end the end

MONTEVIDEO, May 29, 2011 (AFP) - Nacional won the Uruguayan Clausura 2011 this weekend at the 14th and penultimate round.
National won the Clausura title on Saturday by trouncing Defensor Sporting by 3-0, the champion of the Apertura, and also ensured the top spot in the annual league table, which adds up the points of both tournaments, which gives the advantage to the definition of the Liga Charrula title.
The team led by Juan Ramon Carrasco just need to beat Defensor Sporting on June 12 to became the Uruguayan champions, but in case of suffering a defeat, will play one final round against this same team.
Also on Sunday, Fénix has ensured their stay in first division, trouncing River Plate by 4-1 and now dream about qualifying for the Copa Sudamericana 2011.
