Lucio, Maicon and Elano came back to Brazilian team after World Cup failure

London 25th March 2011 (AFP) – The match of the next Sunday in London against Scotland, will allow the coach Mano Menezes continue testing the Brazilian team for the American Cup in Argentina, with the return of Lucio, Maicon and Elano , who played in the World Cup 2010.
The inclusion of the athletes on the list for the match on the weekend was the most sensible, since Brazil will be without Robinho who is rested and Ronaldinho and Kaka , both far from their best days.
“There are three expected returns. Not a surprise that they are here. They’ve done a lot for the Brazilian team and for their respective clubs”, said the coach Mano Menezes.
The three players have in common the fact they had not returned to play with the team since the World Cup 2010, when Brazil was defeated by Netherlands , in the city of Port Elizabeth by 2 x 1.
Since arrive in Brazilian team, Mano Menezes have been focused on the young players to build a strong team for the World Cup 2014.
Menezes had only called in his first list, for a match against EUA (win by 2 x 0) in August, four players who had been present at the 2010 World Cup:  Dani Alves, Ramires, Thiago Silva e Robinho.
In the last call – in the defeat to France by 1 x 0, the account had increased to seven players, with the convocations of Luisão, Júlio César and Gomes.
In his list with 23 players for the match against Scotland, the account continues to rise and are nine players already who were at the World Cup 2010: Julio César, Daniel Alves, Luisão, Lucio, Maicon, Thiago Silva, Elano, Ramires and Nilmar.
