BUENOS AIRES, May 18, 2011 (AFP) – Argentina’s coach Sergio Batista, presented on Tuesday a list with many features, which will compete for the friendly against Nigeria and Poland in June.
For these meetings, in the latter part of the preparation to the Copa America in Argentina-2011, the "Checho" Batista called up nine new players of his cycle.
The midfielder Alberto "Tino" Costa, from the Spanish club Valencia, leads these names, with the midfielders Franco Jara, Mauro Formica, Pablo Piatti e Nicolás Bertolo, forwards Marco Ruben, Mauro Boselli e Jonthan Cristaldo and the defender Alejandro Cabral.
About local players, only the goalkeeper Adrián Gabbarini, from Independiente was called up.
Argentina will visit Nigeria on June 1 at the National Stadium in Abuja and four days later, will play against Poland in Warsaw.
